Tiny Vipers é Jesy Fortino, uma jovem compositora/cantora de Seattle. Ela lançou seu primeiro álbum 2007, Hands Across the Void a fez excusionar por toda a Europa e Estados Unidos, transfixando o público em um solene silêncio. Transcendendo a simples tag folk ("Ela não está contando histórias, ela está e, também, deixando todos em encantamento e transe". New York Times), Fortino desenha a partir de diferentes fontes de inspiração. As gravações do novo álbum, Life on Earth, começaram em casa e foram, então, para as mãos talentosas de Andrew Hernandez em um clássico estúdio analógico em Austin, TX. Retendo tanto brilho de seu trabalho na guitarra/acústica e na força de sua voz, Hernandez conquistou a natureza orgânica espelhada no conceito do álbum. Life on Earth dá vida musical aos temas que habitam seu lirismo: "o amor perdido e encontrado, lugares que vêm e vão. O futuro aniquila o passado, consumindo-o como um incêndio. A esperança brilhando permeia a ameaça de castigo aqui. Desespero desaparece e deixa-o livre no final". A primeira faixa liberada gratuitamente é “Dreamer”, bela e tocante folk-song.

Tiny Vipers is Jesy Fortino, a musician living in Seattle. Since her last and first album, 2007’s Hands Across the Void, she has been back and forth across Europe, on tours into and through the United States, transfixing audiences into a solemn hush. Transcending the mere folk tag (“She’s not telling stories; she’s after incantation and trance” — New York Times), Fortino draws from disparate inspirational sources, from the avant-garde or from country musician Townes Van Zandt. Recordings for the new album began at home and were then interpreted by Andrew Hernandez in a classic analog studio in Austin, TX. Retaining both the glow of her work on guitar and the strength of her voice, Hernandez has captured the organic nature mirrored in the concepts of the album. Life on Earth gives musical life to those themes that inhabit her lyricisms: love found and lost, places come and gone. The future annihilates the past, consuming it like a fire. A shining hope permeates the threat of doom here. Desperation fades and leaves you free in the end.
