Amazon's 100 Greatest Indie Rock Albums of All Time

A equipe do site Amazon elegeu "Os 100 Maiores Álbuns de Indie Rock de Todos Os Tempos" e fizeram um excelente trabalho. Para isso usaram algumas regras "duras": um só álbum por artista; essa lista é só de álbuns, sem EPs ou singles; nada de greatest hits ou compilações de faixas lançadas anteriormente; todos os álbuns devem ter sido lançados obrigatoriamente originalmente por selos indie, mesmo que tenham tido relançamentos por grandes gravadoras posteriormente.

E claro, vale lembrar que mesmo a lista da Amazon sendo ótima, não é perfeita, há algumas omissões e mais que isso, eu trocaria a ordem de preferência de alguns discos. E lista perfeita não existe, só as pessoais e nem isso, às vezes mudamos de idéia.

Mas "Os 100 Maiores Álbuns de Indie Rock de Todos Os Tempos" é, no minimo, uma bela referência para os fãs do indie rock...

Em primeiro lugar, Guided by Voices e seu clássico Bee Thousand de 1994. A lista conta ainda com álbuns de bandas/artistas que estão entre os preferidos da casa, como Slanted & Enchanted do Pavement, If You're Feeling Sinister do Belle & Sebastian, Surfer Rosa do Pixies, Either/Or do Elliott Smith, Daydream Nation do Sonic Youth, e a lista segue com muitas, mas muitas pérolas, mesmo...
