O Bloc Party lançou "Mercury" em 11 de agosto, o single precede o seu terceiro álbum, Intimacy, nas lojas à partir do dia 27 de outubro de 2008 mas, há pelo menos um mês já caiu na rede. Também na blogosfera, encontram-se facilmente, além da versão do single e do álbum, vários remixes, inclusive o do CSS, além de algumas versões ao vivo.
