Le Loup é uma banda indie fundada em 2006, em Washington, DC por Sam Simkoff (teclado, banjo), que convidou Christian Ervin (computador), Michael Ferguson (guitarra), Dan Ryan (baixo), Robert Sahm (bateria) e Jim Thomson (guitarra). O grupo tem sido comparado à Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Yeasayer, The Books...

A banda está lançando seu álbum de estréia, The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations' Millennium General Assembly, via Hardly Art Records, que liberou o primeiro single do disco, “We are Gods! We are Wolves!”.
