In 2005 brazilian composers/ producers/ musicians DiMonaco and Barbera formed Modo Solar and released their first demo-CD with three songs: Natural, Modular and Joias. Their music is very influenced by 70's releases of brazilian artists like Marcos Valle, Joao Donato, Azymuth, Ivan Lins, Toninho Horta, Danilo Caymmi and 70's american soul music like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Leroy Hutson, Shuggie Ottis and Leon Ware. They hope to make their first full-length album this year.On January 2007 the duo released a new song called "Nova Temporada De Verão (Ticket to Summer)" and proudly recorded a radio P.S.A. for legendary american jazz label Black Jazz Records.
